Before you connect your Renault
Sid needs your MyRenault email and password once. We use them to get an access token from Renault. We never store your password.
That token is powerful. Renault gives no way to limit it. It can read everything the MyRenault app can, including your car's location and your contracts.
Sid uses it to read your car's battery, charging, climate and mileage, and to control charging and climate. We never ask Renault for your location or contracts, and we don't store them.
The token is kept encrypted on our server in Finland. If our server were ever breached, it could be exposed.
If you're not comfortable with that, don't connect. You can delete your Sid account in Settings at any time, and the token is deleted with it. To cut Sid off from Renault's side, change your MyRenault password.
